If your child is struggling in one or more areas of his/her/their life and you’re not sure what it is, where it’s coming from, what it means, and/or how to help, a neuropsychological or psychological evaluation may be helpful.
We are a team of pediatric neuropsychologists who specialize in clients ages 4-21 and can evaluate a variety of difficulties, disabilities, and challenges that your child is experiencing.
For example, the Meister Psychology team frequently works with children who are not reaching developmental milestones at the same age as their peers, are struggling to learn to read, have difficulty sustaining attention, are delayed in developing specific skills, and are not performing up to their potential.
Additionally, the Meister Psychology team often works with children and adolescents presenting with low self-esteem and self-confidence, anxiety, and/or mood symptoms that are interfering with academic performance, behavioral functioning, social relationships, and/or activities in their daily life.
-
If you are struggling with focusing, test-taking, learning, and/or performing as a college student or individual seeking an advanced degree, you may wish to pursue a neuropsychological assessment to determine why you are having challenges and what can be done to address them.
Further, adults who are struggling to gain/maintain employment and/or perform up to their potential in their job may wish to understand why and to make changes to experience increased success and achieve their goals.
Individuals may also want to learn about their processing style, personality, and social-emotional functioning to improve their daily life, general well-being, and relationships.
Some adults come in for a neuropsychological or psychological evaluation to understand themselves better and to obtain diagnostic clarity for treatment purposes. As such, sometimes an evaluation is recommended by an individual’s therapist, psychiatrist, neurologist, or primary care physician.
